I want to pack it up and get on a plane, but I don’t want to return to shelters and park benches. I want to go back to school, but I’ve already dropped out three times. I want long-lasting friendships, but soon after I sit down, I’m ready to get up. I want to move on and learn from the experiences that broke me down, but my thoughts give me no peace. The alternative is silence, which is loud. I want to revive my passions, but it’s been long since I’ve known stability. Demons on my left. Angels on my right. Keeping me from moving forward but happy to take me several paces back.
