Text: Online and these orchestrated events treat connections like a numbers game. But it is quality over quantity as always. We built a world where nobody has to be bored, isolated, geographically limited, or stuck with the same people and then discovered that boredom, limitation, proximity, and being stuck with people were sometimes the very conditions under which a life became meaningful. When was the last time you were bored? When was the last time you had nothing to do long enough that you started playing with something on your desk? That you had an idea and started making something. That you went outside with your hands in your pockets with no clear destination. Or do you usually pick up your phone and start scrolling, do you put on your headphones and listen to some music?
